About Me
Hello you, the type of person who's ended up reading a website some computer nerd made for himself. Sites like this don't usually attract a broad demographic, you should be proud of yourself.
I'm Dallen Sandstrom, I'm from Utah and in my first year of High School I learned I really enjoyed programming. Specifically because I liked being able to look at a screen of nonsensical text and be able to understand it completely. That same year I was introduced to Arch Linux by a friend because my computer wouldn't open any web browsers other than Microsoft Edge (years later I would learn that this was caused by a corruption in my Microsoft account).
I graduated high school with an early college Associate of Applied Science and I had learned that Cybersecurity was another interest of mine, so over that summer I would get the CompTIA Security+ Certification. Now I'm fresh out of Weber State University with a Bachelors of Computer Science with a Minor in Cybersecurity and Networking and would like to further my interests and skillset in a professional capacity.

Project Highlights
ReduSharptor Faculty Directed Research
Summer 2026 semester working on improving the ReduSharptor project, a C# test code reduction tool, to utilize Hierarchical Delta Debugging as part of a Faculty Directed Research program at Weber State University.
ASP.NET Core Web Application Capstone
Summer 2026 CS 4750 Capstone project where, with me taking on the role of team lead for a group of three other students, we developed a full stack ASP.Net Core web application for the mock project of creating a grant application and management system for Weber State University.
TTRPG Dice Roller
My largest and most complex programming project I've done, created entirely in my own time and for my own benefit. A C++ application for advanced dice expressions for tabletop role playing games, made to emulate a calculator.
WPF Invoice Application
A WPF application for Fall 2024 semester CS 3280 class. A group project where we each focused on a specific page of a mock invoice system. I handled the Search Page.
Discord Music Bot
A Python Discord bot made to surprise my friends one game night. It changes the bots profile picture and nickname, enters the same voice channel as a specified user, plays an audio file on repeat, and can relay messages into a vc-text channel.
Google Drive Backup Script
Automated backup script for backing up specified directories to a Google Drive account.
